Should you split up your face cards? I have been wondering if it’s necessary to split your face cards or should you just stand when you get them? I know there are certain rules about splitting but when is it necessary?

Please, do not split your face cards, ever! Ok, there is one exception, that’s if you are in a tournament and the dealer is showing a bust card, but that’s the only time. With 2 face cards, you have 20, which is usually a winning hand. By breaking it up you are risking twice as much money to possible end up with 2 bad hands. Yes, sometimes it might work out and you win double, but a good rule of thumb is to never screw up a winning hand.

If you want a really long and successful gambling career remember one thing. Try to keep your bankroll intact, don’t loose, don’t take too many chances! So if you are sure about a winning hand, don’t screw it up. Hold em and you will have another winning hand in the next game. So chillax.

It depends on what & where I am playing. If I am playing with friends I would definitely split them but if I am playing at casino I would not do that!
