I know that everybody wants to win big, so in turn, they want to bet big.  But I just wanted point out to the new guys, that the more you play the better you will become and this is how you learn, not by putting your wallet on the table.

Great advice and I couldn’t agree more. If you are new to the game, there is no shame in playing the minimum until you feel comfortable making bigger bets. That way you won’t feel bad if you loose money.

In my management classes I was taught that starting small is the key to almost all the successful business. (Ofcourse small is a relative term). But if you start playing big games straightaway its possible that by the time you get the needed experience you might have run out of the money. So start small but don’t underplay.

I don’t agree with OP. I suggest you to make a few big bets initially. So if you loose them you would try harder and harder to win them back and that would happen pretty quickly if you are smart enough.

but if you’re still unsure on things, it may be better to start off slowly and figure out what you’re doing first with bets of maybe five dollars or something instead of fifty or one-hundred. What’s the point of loosing that amount of money when you easily could have avoided it?
