What do you guys find to be evident hints or tips as to whether or not a dealer will be of your liking before even sitting at the table? What do you find will indicate whether or not the dealer will deal cards fast or slow?

Well, I normally watch a game or two before I hop in. If the dealer looks good and professional, cracks jokes and, well, will smile, then I’d be more than happy to play a few rounds with him.

I generally prefer a mature and serious guy as dealer. The dealer that usually keeps on cracking jokes etc would at some point cheat you and you wouldn’t even know as you would be distracted by his jokes.

You shouldn’t generalize all the dealers. Mostly you would find that dealer makes some comments from time to time but that’s just to keep the game alive and keep your tension levels down. I have never been cheated by any dealer.

Whether you think its racist or not is not my problem! When I am risking my money I want to do it with someone whom I trust and hence I generally play with white dealer only.

I love to play on tables with female dealers. They look really great. (... and that’s the only place where you can have an easy pickup chat with them!). But mind you they are pretty fast and would turn your game upside down if you don’t pay attention.

female dealers? In which casino do you find female blackjack dealers? I would too love to chat with few gorgeous ones.

I usually occupy table that has a mature and steady dealer! Too fast or too slow makes me nervous as a result of which I loose concentration.

Aint that right… I had a dealer at my favorite spot the other day, sit there and try to take my chips when he had a 7 card 22, apparently thinking I wasn’t paying attention to the cards, and when I grabbed his hand, yes I grabbed his hand, he did a sleight of hand and I had my winnings magically in front of me.  He sat there and said I like to joke around like that. I sat there and said Well I dont that’s my money and you guys already sit there and make me bet the minimum half the time I play here, you bring in deck mechanics that are as blunt as I am about counting cards… hell yeah Im gonna grab your hand when you try to cheat me out my chips.

I wouldn’t recommend it but I straight up tell them they are going to have trouble taking my money, then ask them if they got a problem with that. Verbaitum.  I get watched yeah but since I have been doing that I get barred a whole lot less.  Sometimes it pays to be blunt.

What does that have to do with the game of BlackJack ?

I find basically that the player’s generally control the speed of the game -

Regardless of your hand’s total -

The dealer CAN NOT PASS YOU BY UNTIL YOU GIVE A HAND SIGNAL -

Once you understand this basis, elementary rule -

You can either slow down a fast dealer -

Or -

Speed up a slow dealer _

And it does not matter if they are blue, black , purple, male , female or a combination of all the above -

Who gives a rats’ ass anyhow !

And - more importantly - does it really matter - Hell No !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if there weren’t a few generalizations, stereotypical and even racial comments in there. I used to play with female dealers only but started playing at any table where the dealer did their job efficiently. It went back to the old days when dealers peeked at their hole card, sometimes they would check first and then ask for insurance. I would look them in the eye and ask if I needed it?
